We understand you may have questions about the availability of the coronavirus vaccine. At this time, SLUCare Physician Group will NOT be vaccinating patients in our provider offices, though we are actively developing plans to offer vaccinations at a future date.
In the meantime, we do want to provide you with resources to help you find out when and where you may be eligible to receive the vaccine.
Federal, state and local public health agencies are spearheading the public rollout of the vaccine. Eligible patients are divided into tiers. The first patients to receive the vaccine are those at the highest risk of exposure and severe illness. Considerations include age, underlying medical conditions, and occupation. Younger people and those at lower risk may fall into a different tier that is eligible for vaccination at a later time.
Tiers may differ by state. To check who is eligible for vaccination in your state, visit the following websites:
I believe I'm eligible. How do I register for a vaccine?
Hospitals and health systems across St. Louis have joined forces to combat COVID-19 for the health of our community. The following organizations are offering online pre-registration.
By signing up, you'll receive notification when a scheduling opportunity opens. You may make a vaccination appointment at that time. You may choose to pre-register in multiple locations to expand your options when scheduling opens, but please do not schedule multiple vaccination appointments. It’s important to keep close track of scheduled vaccines to coordinate supply and prevent waste.
While you wait, continue safety measures
- Wear a mask.
- Maintain 6 feet of distance from others.
- Wash hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
- Clean high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Avoid large gatherings.
Even after your vaccine, please continue to follow the guidelines above.
If you have symptoms or are concerned you may have COVID-19, call your SLUCare provider for guidance and next steps.
